Following a long and varied teaching career spanning 30 years Bob now works as Progress through Partnerships’ (PTP) principal trainer and consultant. Much of his teaching, fundraising and management experience had been gained within Bristol’s largest multi-ethnic Inner City school where he held the post of Director of Community Development.

Bob’s commitment and enthusiasm for the extended school movement is based on his belief that this leads to improved standards and a reduction in social exclusion. He believes that building effective partnerships is essential to schools that are committed to play an increasing role in promoting lifelong learning and community regeneration.

He has extensive experience of delivering training and facilitated workshops and is national known as one of Britain’s leading inspirational conference speakers specialising in extended schools, bid writing and school fundraising.

In 1999 Bob received the National Teaching Award for ‘Working with Parents and the Community in a Secondary School’ and the OBE for Services to Education. Since that time he has been appointed as Sponsorship Consultant for the Teaching Awards, invited to Chair the West of England Regional Teachers Award panel and to be a National Teaching Award judge.

Tori loves to create opportunities for others by writing bespoke funding applications and projects that are successful and sustainable!

Tori Pearson is an experienced bid writer. In addition she has a proven track record of being an effective project coordinator working across the full spectrum of school life. As well as making things happen she also offers schools the much needed support service of proof reading and adding value to bids about to be submitted.

Tori is passionate about engaging and exposing young people to the arts. However her breadth of bid writing experience extends to fundraising for regeneration projects, capital builds, extended school programmes, child- care provision and gaining charitable status. She has a wealth of experience and success in short and long term secured funding which has unlocked over £1m of external funding for schools she has supported.

Peter Crowe is an architect who has designed schools across the spectrum, including Early Years provision, Primary and Secondary Schools and Tertiary Colleges. He was formerly Head of Architecture and Design at a metropolitan authority responsible for the briefing and procurement of a large capital programme.

Peter’s more recent experience includes working across the country as a design champion on Academies, PFI and Building Schools for the Future. His specialisms include the design of learning environments, schools architecture, procurement, project management, client advice and the Governments (DfES) school buildings initiatives.

Peter is also a member of the CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment) Enabling Panel and has worked nationally on the BSF programme assisting schools and LEA’s to create better schools.

Mick Hawksworth is a designer and film maker who has directed and produced documentaries forbroadcast television and corporate clients. He has worked with IT and video on many educational projects including work with pupil referral units and drama workshops dealing with issues such as alcohol abuse and returning to work.

Mick’s latest project with the Innovation Unit of the DfES deals with sustainability in school building. Pupils are making an interactive DVD about the building of their school extension while learning about the issues of energy conservation and sustainable materials.

His knowledge of the practicalities of filming and editing using industry standard and educational software enable him to directly train or advise on specifying equipment for schools. Mick is also a lecturer at the University of Brighton’s School of Arts and Communication

Lindsay Graham is a former nurse with 25 years experience. Her passion to improve the quality of peoples’ life chances eventually steered her towards working with young people within in one of Scotland’s ‘New Community Schools’ where in 1999 she became a Health Development Officer.

From there she moved on to become Highland Councils, Health Promoting Schools Manager, with responsible for Health Improvement within the Councils 220 schools. This role gave Lindsay operational experience to deliver the full spectrum of health related initiatives for young people and to develop Highland Councils ‘Health Promoting School Toolkit’. Her model of school accreditation has subsequently been used as the core for national accreditation of Local Authorities within Scotland. In 2005 Lindsay was appointed as National Development Officer ‘Eating for Health’ with the Scottish Health Promoting Schools Unit. Here she worked across Scotland to promote the Scottish Executive national policy ‘Hungry for Success’.

Recently, Lindsay moved south of the border to work within the School Food Trust where she took responsible for delivering the SFT’s case study and prototype work. This included setting up the National Good Practice Network and recruiting some 450 School Food Ambassadors from across the country. She has worked collaboratively with regional and national health promoting strategic officers. In this capacity her expertise and energy has help her shape future school food and health policy. She currently sits on a cross government delivery reference group to support and advise on the Obesity PSA programme. As a founder and former director of three children’s charities she has extensive experience of working within the third sector.

Ian Fordham has delivered courses, workshops and presentations to a wide range of schools, local authorities and partner organisations in the UK and internationally, focusing on schooling of the future, out of school hours learning and extended / community focused schools.

Formerly the Director of an educational think tank and Head of Policy and Professional Development at the charity ContinYou, he has led and delivered programmes for the Department for Education and Skills, Welsh Assembly Government and the National College for School Leadership.

He has also worked with senior local authority officers on the strategic planning of the Every Child Matters: Change for Children agenda and lectured at universities in England and the USA, including Harvard University.

This unique mix of experience enables him to present and facilitate wide ranging and thought provoking workshops and sessions that deliver for staff at all levels.

Dave Moore has been an independent consultant for the past nine years following a four year health service and thirteen year local government career engaged in policy, productivity, best value and commissioning.

As a consultant Dave has undertaken a wide range of projects including service evaluations, business processes, commissioning and procurement, and research. Dave has worked extensively in local government conducting projects within children and young peoples’ services, social care, anti-social behaviour and a range of corporate services. He also has wide ranging third sector experience, has worked extensively in multi-agency environments and has particular knowledge of early years and SureStart Children’s Centres.

Dave has an in-depth knowledge of the full range of qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation techniques including on-line and hard copy surveys and questionnaires, face-to-face and telephone research, focus groups and data collection and analysis. Dave is an accomplished report writer and presenter.

Dave has a proven track record of delivering projects to brief, on time and to agreed budgets.
